Panasonic DMP-BDT310 – Amazing Player, Works As Advertised With The Perfect Price
The Panasonic DMP-BDT310 is the player with the great Picture. DVD Upscaling on my Samsung LCD is ideal. I have no issues including connection with Netflix (streaming no less). Have gotten 2 firmware upgrades (current version while 7/1/11 is 1. 65). I do have to say it took a few things getting used to the no touch sensor nevertheless it really works great including swiping at it should the unit is OFF. What would I would recommend for improvement. Menu system is OK but when you get into the internet services side its much more clunky feeling. It works. The option of getting the keyboard presentation is different at different menu locations. It would be nice so that they can be consistent or even better yet autopop inside fields. At a minimum it needs to be covered in the manual other when compared to this tribal knowledge through reviews and additionally forums. The remote is clunky and inside navigating around I miss and hit the next outer navigating ring like Vieracast. Returning to when I was especially inside Netflix meant re-starting the access rather then going to the page I only just left.
All in all its everything I’ve read and heard about. I would recommend it just for the features on it’s own. The others are quirks and may get ironed out.
I seen the promo ads just for this and it mentioned the dual HDMI components. I needed those and when it premiered, I bought DMP-BDT310. It is greater than the Sony 570 I have throughout picture and sound quality. I notice a much stronger color output than the Sony 570 and the sound is cleaner in the midrange region. I did find that if everyone leave the 24P setting on, that with some DVDs, it won’t often sync to my Pioneer 92 Top-notch Receiver, but it is just a fairly easy matter of turning off the 24P preparing. I bought a Visio 42″ 3D TV, to have a little fun in it, and I am really surprised the best way well the 3D looks. Normally I watch my movies at a 9′ screen with a Sony G70 projector, but it is fun to watch a number of the latest movies in 3D on the Visio. It has plenty of options to set in the menu for tweeking functions or adjustments. All around a real nice player for under $200 and I have had no better player for just $200. I am well satisfied.
There are few 3d bluray players this year that contain two HDMI outs, and this panasonic is one of these.
If you have a non 1. 4 HDMI receiver and also a 3d tv, this bluray player will allow you to:
Send true 3d 1080p video signal for the tv, and send true HD audio for a non 3d compatible receiver. Works great all this time. I have not tried to 3d convert non 3d bluray yet.
Picture plus sound all great once settings were definitely adjusted to liking.
Plus free Avatar 3d dvd!
